Description

The Project Manager will oversee projects across the organization from start to finish. Core responsibilities include defining project scope, setting milestones, allocating resources, and developing comprehensive project plans. The role involves leading and mentoring project teams to ensure smooth and efficient execution, as well as managing external vendors and consultants throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager will also identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks, while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. Tracking project progress, adjusting plans as necessary, and ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines are key tasks. Regular project status updates will be provided to management, and best practices will be benchmarked to optimize project performance.

 

Essential Duties A successful Project Manager must spend over 50% of work time on and satisfactorily perform these general categories of duties[1]:

 

  • Identifies and defines project deliverables, milestones, and necessary activities for complex projects, using significant judgment to develop plans, budgets, and allocate resources while directing actions and activities.
  • Provides leadership and coaching to project team members throughout the entire project life cycle.
  • Assists in selecting, negotiating, and managing activities related to external consultants or vendors.
  • Establishes work plans and staffing requirements for project activities, iterations, or phases and assists with recruiting or assigning project personnel.
  • Implements a project communication plan tailored to identified stakeholders and commitment analysis.
  • Conducts risk assessments and develops mitigation strategies for assigned projects.
  • Monitors project activities to ensure accuracy, quality, and integrity of information, maintaining consistency in content and presentation across the organization.
  • Ensures project goals are met and align with overall business objectives.
  • Assigns duties, responsibilities, and authority to project personnel based on discussions during project meetings.
  • Follows up on action items assigned to project team members, tracks project activities, ensures progress aligns with schedules and budgets, and adjusts plans as necessary.
  • Establishes standards and procedures for project management, reporting, and documentation.
  • Develops detailed analyses and recommendations to support projects.
  • Provides regular project status updates to management.
  • Continuously benchmarks project management performance to identify areas for improvement and drive higher maturity in project and portfolio management.

Qualifications


Experience 
•    3-5 years of similar or related experience required. 
•    Experience in a financial institution is required. 

Education
•    Achievement of a formal certification recognized in the industry (PMP, SCRUM) or Bachelor’s Degree 
•    High school education or GED

•    Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization to give or obtain information, build relationships, or solicit cooperation. 

Other Skills
•    Demonstrated excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
•    Must be knowledgeable in rules and regulations governing IRA and savings accounts. Must also have working knowledge of regulations and laws governing lending such as:
o    Regulation Z         Federal Truth in Lending Act
o    Regulation B         Equal Credit Opportunity Act
o    Regulation C                 Equal Housing Act (anti red lining)
o    Regulation G                 Margin Securities Act
o    Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
o    Home Mortgage Act

This is an office-based position involving primarily non-manual labor. Reliable, predictable, on-time attendance is essential. The associate will spend most of the working time sitting, standing or walking, including significant time using computers. Position requires repetitive hand movements; the daily ability to focus on several tasks at one time, analyze data and draw conclusions, distinguish paper money denominations and other financial instruments, accurately perform mathematical computations, analyze and explain complex information, communicate constantly with others in person, over the phone, and via electronic communications, and calmly and professionally communicate with members who are upset or angry.  The position may include occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. 

 

Salary : $109,861 - $137,326
