We are seeking an experienced School Bus Driver to join our Los Olivos School District team. This role is critical to ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate School Buses: Safely operate a variety of school buses to transport students to and from school sites, adhering to established routes and time schedules.
- Ensure Passenger Safety: Ensure the safety of students on board by maintaining discipline, order, and safety on the bus at all times.
- Conduct Daily Inspections: Conduct daily vehicle inspections to identify any defects, malfunctions, or need for repairs.
- Maintain Records: Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation related to bus operations, bus maintenance, and student behavior.
Requirements:
- Valid Licenses: Hold a valid Class A or B license with a passenger endorsement issued by the DMV.
- Certifications and Clearances: Possess a School Bus Certificate issued by the DMV, DL-51 Medical Card, First Aid Certificate, Tuberculosis Clearance, and Department of Justice and FBI Fingerprint Response.
- Skills and Knowledge: Possess knowledge of safe school bus driving practices, provisions of the Motor Vehicle Code, and district policies and procedures. Ability to drive a Type-2 or Type-1 passenger school bus safely and efficiently, maintain appropriate student behavior, and follow oral and written directions.
