Job Summary
The Lead Pool Attendant oversees the pool's day-to-day operations and manages the pool attendants' team. This role includes ensuring the highest level of guest service, monitoring the pool facility, enforcing pool policies, overseeing the pool area's cleanliness and readiness, and supporting the overall guest experience. The lead works closely with the Spa Supervisor to ensure smooth operations, assists with training and scheduling, and maintains the pool standards across the pool attendant team. During the pool off-season, the Lead Pool Attendant will fully support the spa front of the house by covering the front desk and attendant duties.

Essential Job Functions
- Promptly welcome and acknowledge guests by name
- Provide orientation tours of the pool facility, explaining pool/spa amenities and answering guests' questions
- Actively build a rapport with guests to understand the nature of their stay, allowing us to anticipate their needs and create a customized experience
- Walk all assigned areas throughout the shift, removing dirty towels, picking up trash, and collecting service trays
- Issue and restock pool linen and supplies to ensure proper inventory levels
- Set up and/or break down the pool area daily
- Maintain pool showers and bathroom area throughout the shift
- Maintain a safe, clean, stocked, and well-organized environment
- Assist in facilitating guest activities and seasonal offerings at the pool
- Follow and enforce safety protocols and procedures
- Foster a work environment of teamwork and mutual service by assisting coworkers and other departments as necessary to exceed our guests' expectations
- Handle guest questions and concerns professionally and courteously
- Actively promote spa treatments, wellness offerings, promotions, and general property information
- Work in conjunction with the F&B department to provide drink and food service to guests
- Regularly attend and participate in spa training and meetings
- Follow the opening and closing checklist as assigned by management
- Be prompt for scheduled shifts and uphold a good attendance record
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of wellness classes
- Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management
- Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints professionally and promptly
- Monitor pool inventory of retail products, supplies, materials, ensuring availability and proper stock levels.
- Lead, train, and motivate the pool staff to deliver exceptional customer service
- Assist with employee scheduling and ensure adequate pool coverage during peak hours
- Support the Spa Supervisor in conducting employee reviews and identifying development needs.

- Communicate to management all occurrences involving staff or guests that require immediate attention
- Act as a positive role model and ambassador for Los Poblanos, its employees, and the community
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the property.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and walk for 8 to 10 hours a day.
- Able to grasp, life, carry. Must be able to lift 15 lbs. in short intervals throughout the day
- Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have 2 years of customer service experience.
- Alcohol Service Certification
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to work without constant direct supervision
- A genuine interest and enthusiasm about the Los Poblanos well-being model
- Provide the highest standards for professionalism, hospitality, and collaboration
