Experienced Emergency/Critical Care Veterinary Technicians

Roadrunner Veterinary Emergency and Specialty is the only ER consistently open 24/7 in New Mexico (we never close!) and the only ER that is 100% privately owned. We're open and transparent in all that we do. We promote excellent medical care for all our our patients through extensive CE and ongoing learning opportunities for all of our staff members.

We're owned by a single owner who's a practicing DVM in our hospital. We're a values-based hospital which, simply put, means that how we treat each other, how we treat our clients and how we make our decisions are based on our core values, not on money, impulsive emotions or other factors. Our values remain the same over time so what you see is what you get- it won't change once you sign on or down the road. We have management in the building 7 days a week so we're able to see and address concerns quickly.

We utilize a tech tiering system to assess skills, pay fairly according to skills and experience and to help establish a plan for ongoing career growth. Current hiring needs: Friday-Sunday (6p-6a); Saturday-Monday (6p-6a); Sunday-Tuesday (6a-6p); and Saturday-Monday (12p-12a); Friday-Sunday (12p-12a)

• Generous pay. Our daytime tech pay range is $22-26/hour and overnight techs make $23-29/hour based on experience. We will match all other hospitals' offers for qualified applicants!

We're moving into a new 14,000 sq ft building, designed by a veterinary-specific architect and builder, in early 2025! We'll have a large treatment area and separate ICU, conference room, 11 exam rooms, multiple private ER and specialist doctor offices and a CT.

Albuquerque is a vibrant city with 4 distinct seasons and numerous outdoor activities within an hour drive.
