What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator position at Lost & Found Grief Center?
The Program Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of grief support groups, including leadership of Group Coordinators and volunteer facilitators. Additionally, the Program Coordinator shares a joint responsibility with other Program Coordinators for educational presentations, development of effective strategies for program implementation and working collaboratively to implement new grief support programs. In addition, this individual will carry a caseload of individual counseling clients. This individual must be a Licensed Professional Counselor with an understanding of grief work.
Job Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Counseling or related field
Ability to provide training and leadership to support group coordinators and volunteers
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to interact supportively with grieving families
1-3 years’ experience in Human Services profession
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
· Manage intakes, orientations, placement in group, and communication for continued support.
· Maintain records of specific details relating to family needs, inquiries, feedback, and interactions.
· Oversee all Group Coordinators, support group processes and adherence to research-based practices and agency values.
· Prepare and maintain group records and materials for each support group, including family information & volunteer facilitator information for group coordinators.
· Effectively communicate among group coordinators and facilitators.
· Develop group activities, schedule of group activities, and communications with group coordinators regarding group activities
· Assess needs for additional training and support for Group Coordinators
· Ensure adherence to agency values, policies and procedures for programs and volunteers
· Develop and implement plan for recruitment, training, orientation, placement, observation, and supervision of volunteers
· Communicate effectively with volunteers and potential volunteers to cultivate good working relationships
· Maintain records of volunteer information and hours
· Maintain relationship with local universities for recruitment of potential group personnel, education about Lost & Found services, and potential for utilization of students in Lost & Found programs
· Provide records and details for accurate database entry on families and volunteers.
· Organize, manage, and ensure the integrity and security of all records on families receiving services.
· Maintain accurate records and databases on volunteers, including placement and hours.
· Assist in the analysis and planning of financial data related to programs and volunteers.
· Oversee effective implementation of constituent data base.
· Provide reports to Board of Directors regarding program data
· Develop and maintain relationships with various community agencies to promote programs and reciprocal working relationship, with primary emphasis on school personnel
· Provide effective presentations about Lost & Found to various community groups to ensure awareness of services and volunteer needs
· Assist with development and delivery of educational grief programs
· Assist with development and preparation of mailings related to programs.
· Assist with development of program related articles for newsletter, brochures and educational materials for families, and season grief support materials

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $51,445.00 - $60,000.00 per year
