Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Daycare Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. You will play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning experience while supporting each child's individual needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Create a warm and welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Provide individualized attention to children, including those with disabilities or special needs, ensuring their unique requirements are met.
  • Engage children in educational activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom space, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive environment for all children.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in caregiving.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred but not required at the time of hire; willingness to obtain certification is essential.
  • A genuine passion for educating young minds and fostering their growth through play-based learning activities.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
