Lotus Behavioral Health Inc in Baltimore, MD is looking for an enthusiastic Community Coordinator to join our 19-person strong team. As the Community Outreach Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting our agency's efforts to forge and maintain relationships with community organizations and members in order to increase agency awareness, resource partnerships, and client referrals. The individual in this position will leverage both personal experience and professional networks to promote company visibility within Baltimore city and the surrounding communities. Some occasional travel to other company locations outside of Baltimore for agency events and/or community partnership activities will be required. We are located on 1800 N. Charles St Suite 808. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and engaged.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement strategies to forge and/or strengthen partnerships with other organizations.
- Educate individuals and community members on mental health, and how the services offered by Lotus BHRS Inc. can address these issues in order to increase company awareness and encourage referrals.
- Guide staff on how to utilize their own network to increase company awareness and encourage referrals.
- Help staff identify and access resources needed for their clients by collaborating with external parties to secure resources, and then disseminating the information to staff.
- Participate in presentations with referring partners, utilizing personal knowledge and experience to create an impactful and meaningful impression.
- Assist with planning and executing company and community events, especially for generating staff participation and community attendance.
- Support initiatives for increasing staff engagement and teamwork.
- Meet weekly and communicate regularly with the Program Director to discuss progress and plan accordingly.

Required Experience & Education:
- Minimum of one year of experience working in outreach, advocacy, or related field (required.)
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Sales, Public Relations, or related field (strongly preferred.)
- Minimum of two years of experience in mental health, behavioral health, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience with a diverse and/or underserved population ( preferred.)
- CPR and First Aid Certified.
