Background
Lotus Company is a venture capital and real estate development company with close to $1B of projects in the pipeline. We are seeking to grow our acquisitions team with the addition of a Financial Analyst (“FA”) who has financial analysis experience especially with multifamily projects. They will be involved in acquisition analysis, market review and project budgeting.
The ideal candidate will have exposure to the full multifamily development and investment process and have a passion for creating great places and actively contributing to the development and ownership of quality assets.
Job Description
The Financial Analyst will be focused on multifamily projects, primarily LIHTC projects. The FA will be responsible for providing financial analysis and other support duties for the Acquisitions Department. They will report to the Real Estate Acquisitions and Senior Development Associate and will work closely with accounting, asset management, capital strategies, and development.
Responsibilities
The Financial Analyst’s responsibilities shall include assisting with the following:
- Assist in locating and negotiating LIHTC and market rate multifamily deals
- Underwrite acquisition deals
- Assist in the closing process and due diligence
- Create project budgets and analyze operating expenses
- Other projects as may be assigned
Required Experience
- A minimum of one (1) year related work experience as an analyst in the real estate industry is preferred. Direct experience with LITHC and Affordable Housing is a plus
- Experience creating and adjusting pro formas and projections
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Must be proactive, well organized, possess attention to detail, project and goal focused, results oriented, accountable, and collaborative/team oriented
- Strong organization and presentation skills required
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or real estate. Master’s Degree a plus.
Compensation
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: DOE, with discretionary bonus and other incentive programs
Location: 215 S. State St., Floor 13, Salt Lake City, UT
