Position Overview
The EBS System Administrator is responsible for the security, configuration and maintenance of the Business and Financials and the Human Capital Management elements of the EBS System. This position will work closely with the Financials System Administrator to provide secondary support for all financial applications and primary support for the EBS modules to include: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Procurement, Payroll, Absence Management, Time and Labor, Advanced Benefits, Employee Self Service, and other related modules.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Resolves work tickets associated with modules and security; coordinates the testing and upgrade events between the functional departments.
- Develops and maintains of standard operating procedure documents for the learning library or EBS intranet space.
- Provides informational materials at a level and form suitable for the intended audience; materials may be for internal or external dissemination.
- Participates on the EBS Change Control Board.
- Provides functional configuration and maintenance; patch/upgrade planning and impact analysis
- Delivers testing, training, module integration, ad-hoc queries, and system access control.
- Provides support in the way of corrective action for system defects and audit findings with adherence to industry standards and functional design concepts.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders that work with the EBS system.
- Develops stored procedures and defines concurrent programs, responsibilities, and Web ADI integrators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Business Administration
- Five years of experience in maintaining an EBS system such as Oracle; public sector experience preferred
- Working knowledge of applications ancillary to the EBS such as common office productivity software suites like Microsoft Office
- Possesses strong knowledge of the security and best practices related to the maintenance and support of an EBS system
- Ability to effectively deliver and communicate information in a variety of settings and to diverse audiences, throughout all levels of an organization
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. The employee must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. The employee must possess normal cognitive abilities including the ability to learn, recall and apply certain practices and policies. Frequently sitting and/or remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Telework Disclosure
Employees who perform the responsibilities of the above position have been identified as having the potential to telework. Telework is defined as completing one's duties and responsibilities at a site other than one's assigned duty location. In order to be eligible for telework privileges, an employee must have demonstrated consistent, positive performance and have the support and approval of their direct supervisor. In addition, these employees must have reliable high-speed internet and a designated workspace that allows them privacy while completing sensitive and confidential work. Employees who are non-exempt and are teleworking will work their required scheduled hours and gain approval from their supervisor if they work more than 8 hours a day or more than 40 hours in a workweek. Teleworking privileges can be amended, changed, or revoked based upon the performance of the employee, as well as the needs of Loudoun County Public Schools.
