Job Overview
The Program Assistant supports the Department of Human Resources and Talent Development in providing support with the daily operations of the SubCentral office. The Program Assistant will assist in all stages of the substitute life cycle, including recruiting, on-boarding, training and developing, and placement and utilization. The employee must be able to complete assignments independently with detail and accuracy, work collaboratively with other office staff, and demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.

- Interacts and communicates with applicants, substitutes, school-based personnel, and other LCPS departments to coordinate substitute onboarding, placement, and utilization, and answers inquiries regarding the centralized substitute management system.
- Creates and maintains databases that include tracking of applications, onboarding, hiring, and placement of substitutes.
- Participates in recruitment events.
- Performs data searches and generating a variety of reports.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain an HRMS database, perform office work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy; plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively; work cooperatively with others; work under pressure with frequent interruptions
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft computer applications, Google suite, internet search functions, and possesses the ability to learn new computer programs related to this position
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and possesses the ability to maintain confidentiality and to comply with school division policy and procedures
- Ability to exercise the highest level of discretion in the handling of confidential personnel information
