The Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts is growing! As our student body continues to grow, we are seeking additional talented, motivated, and qualified music teachers with a passion for music education. LAAPA offers flexible schedules, performance opportunities, and a stimulating work environment.
Now hiring for Spring/Summer 2025 teaching opportunities at our three campuses in the Greater New Orleans area. We are seeking substitute and regular faculty members.
We are currently interviewing candidates for opportunities in our Voice, Piano, Violin, Guitar, Drums and Preschool Music Departments.
Compensation based on education and experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Music Degree or Equivalent Professional Experience
- Ability to conduct weekly private and group lessons and arrange lesson plans
- Outgoing personality
- Ability to make each lesson fun and enjoyable for students of all ages
- Ability to teach in two or more programs is a plus!
