Louisiana Bridge Builders (“LBB”) is designing and building the new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana (USA) for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). LBB will also be responsible for the reconstruction of interstate highway, various structures, ramps, and approaches for a 5.5 mile stretch between I-210 West End and Ryan Street.

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY
The Procurement Manager is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by ensuring all procurement services required to support the Project are provided accordingly, within budget, and comply with all Company policies and procedures.
LOCATION
This position is based in Lake Charles, LA.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the procurement of subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, or business service for use or for further processing by the establishment.
- Manage the process for major purchases and establishment of major supply agreements or partnerships in coordination with Commercial Department and Project Management.
- Manage the procurement and project strategies in order to provide the best outcome in terms of scope, cost, and schedule as it relates to the Project, as per the Company’s Procurement Management Procedure.
- Determine and negotiate contract terms and conditions, award supplier contracts, or recommend contract awards as per the LBB Procurement Management Procedure.
- Establish logistics of delivery schedules, monitor progress, and contact subcontractors and/or suppliers to resolve issues.
- Hire, motivate, and lead a high-performing team through coaching, top-tier talent retention, and directed recruiting efforts.
- Supervises team, including training, providing work direction, problem-solving assistance, reviewing performance, recommending salary increases, promotions, transfers, demotions, and terminations.
- Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
At a minimum, the Procurement Manager must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction management, or equivalent field of study, along with 8 years of construction related procurement experience or a high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 12 years of construction related procurement experience. Certified Purchasing Manager Certification preferred.
