THE OPPORTUNITY
We are searching for an Assistant Service Manager to join our growing service operations at our Harvey, Louisiana location. The Assistant Service Manager will be responsible for working with other employees and customers to resolve any issues and ensure all service repairs are being performed efficiently.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION
- Train and perform duties within all areas of the Service Department.
- Work closely with experienced staff to gain knowledge about procedures, methods and standards that are required to perform departmental duties.
- Establish professional repertoire with all customers.
- Work directly with customers, as needed, to resolve any issues.
- Assist Service Manager to ensure service repairs are performed correctly and efficiently.
- Assist Service Manager in supporting, training, motivating, and monitoring performance of the Service Department staff.
- Assist Service Manager in attracting, developing, and retaining talent for the store.
- Assist Service Manager with maintaining service/customer areas with focus on comfort, cleanliness and proper displays/purchase information.
- Coordinate with other departments and managers.

MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS
- REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalency; bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; or combination of education and relevant experience
- REQUIRED: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- REQUIRED: Ability to handle multiple tasks in an effectively, timely, and professional manner
- REQUIRED: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- HIGHLY PREFERRED: Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the marine industry; Caterpillar experience preferred
- HIGHLY PREFERRED: Well-developed communication and organizational skills
- HIGHLY PREFERRED: Proficiency in computers and related software
JOB FACTS
- SHIFT: 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday; you will be required to be On Call
- Will require physical movement as listed in the job description
