Comprehensive eye clinic seeking an optometrist to join the team 2-3 days per week, flexible hours. We are an established practice that is growing, friendly with a low pressure work environment and great support staff.

Our practice is located in the heart of Baton Rouge, very close to the airport, minutes from downtown.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye conditions.
- Provide patient care by developing treatment plans and prescribing corrective lenses.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on eye health, proper eyewear usage, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage pediatric cases and other specialized needs.
- Utilize EMR and EHR systems for efficient patient management and documentation.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid state optometry license
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience with EMR and EHR systems
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical records management
- Ability to perform vital sign assessments and aseptic techniques
- Experience in pediatrics and ophthalmology preferred
- Customer service and sales skills are a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $89,251.73 - $196,210.57 per year
