Duties and Responsibilities :
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
- Administer and proctor college-wide testing at official SLCC approved testing centers. Tests include, but are not limited to, Accuplacer, CLEP, TEAS, ASE, NHA, Pearson Vue, Praxis, TOEFL, LA Contractors, Certiport, WorkKeys, HiSet.
- Administer accommodations testing and accommodate testers with disabilities according to ADA and each test entity guidelines.
- Adhere to procedures for ensuring security and confidentiality of state-mandated testing programs and other assessments.
- Monitor testing activities to ensure that procedures are followed, and deadlines met.
- Accurately document test results as instructed.
- Always ensure the security of all testing materials.
- Responsible for compliance standards set forth by all test entities and other applicable compliance policies to protect the privacy of examinees' personal information and scores.
- Research test administration policies and procedures and ensure resolution of testing issues.
- Identify and report testing irregularities and discrepancies to Director of Career and Testing Services
- Maintain all training and certifications required for certified proctor status.

Bachelor's degree required.

At least one year of educational experience is required.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required :
Language Skills : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must be able to demonstrate the proven abilities of intellectual reasoning, power of persuasion, and consistent dedication to the position.
Mathematical Skills : Basic Skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability : High Skills : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills : Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Ability to learn to operate College-specific software and applications.

Must be able to exercise both authority and good judgment in a variety of situations, demonstrating exceptional leadership characteristics and interpersonal skills. Requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, goal-oriented atmosphere, both independently and as part of a unified team. Must be familiar with the major issues of student life and retention present in the realm of higher education and able to discuss options and alternatives to address them. Excellent leadership, customer service, phone, mentoring, training, and organizational skills are necessary. The ability to transport self in a timely manner from location to location.
Required Licenses or Certifications : Criminal background clearance. Valid Drivers License.
