LCP is currently seeking experienced Quality Control Technicians to work locally in Baton Rouge, LA. Applicants must be hard-working, responsible individuals who are dedicated to promoting a culture of safety.
Quality Control Technicians serve as key team members of our quality control team which is tasked with ensuring consistent product quality and consistent process efficiency across the company’s manufacturing and production activities.
The ideal candidate will perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
- Ensure the highest level of quality control in the production of prestressed products under the direction of the Quality Control Manager;
- Ensure finished product is of highest possible quality, meeting all customer specific requirements;
- Conduct quality control testing on forms, concrete and aggregate products;
- Participate in the production of cylinders and in the performance of moisture tests;
- Document and maintain accurate recordkeeping outlining results in the QC testing process;
- Follow all company safety guidelines and rules at all times;
- Assist in keeping work areas organized and neat, including any housekeeping tasks as requested.
The ideal candidate for the Quality Control Technician position will possess the following experience and qualifications:
- American Concrete Institute (ACI) Certification – Preferred;
- LA DOTD State Concrete Technician Certification – Preferred;
- Prior experience in production and manufacturing of concrete;
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standard;
- Strong attention to detail, observation and safety;
- Possess excellent collaboration, listening and communication skills;
- Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical functions including area, volume, unit weight and total weight calculations;
- Ability to accept and follow direction as provided by managers;
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Dependability, punctuality and attendance are essential;
- Openminded with willingness to learn;
- Commitment to continuing education as continuing education will be required for this position.
- Ability to work outdoors in Southeastern United States weather conditions including overtime as requested;
- Have full use of mental and physical faculties including possessing the physical strength and endurance adequate for arduous labor in all kinds of weather conditions.
