Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology
- Must be licensed or be working toward licensure in the area of specialization.
- Must be qualified to teach in the field of study.
- Must be effective in teaching the assigned subject material.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience or equivalent in the practice area of study or as required by accreditation agencies.
- Committed to teaching, service, professional growth, and scholarship excellence.
- Teach five (15 credit hours) undergraduate and graduate online and face-to-face courses.
- Serve as an academic advisor for undergraduate and graduate students.
- Maintain required office hours of 10 face-to-face/online hours per week, and, during business hours, be attentive to departmental communications and flow of departmental work.
- Submit course outlines, syllabi, and learning objectives.
- Provide course instructions in accordance with the designated outline.
- Utilizes a variety of proven teaching methods appropriate to the targeted domain of learning,
- Evaluate students and report progress.
- Participate in periodic review of course material.
- Maintain appropriate expertise and competencies through continuing professional development and pursuit of scholarly activities.
- Demonstrate knowledge of school goals and objectives.
- Participate in faculty meetings and serve on all appropriate programs and college committees.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with federal laws and program policy,
- Represent the school in a professional manner in all activities.
- Facilitate student research; PIL and thesis chair and serve on thesis committees.
- Develops graduate students' skill sets in intellectual and personality assessment.
- Engage in research and other scholarly activities.
- Submit articles in area of specialization for publication in refereed journals.
- Provide service to the department, university, and community.
- Other duties as assigned by the department chair.
