Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) practice. The LPN will provide direct patient care and assist in the day-to-day operations of the practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting, a strong understanding of ENT conditions, and a passion for patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take patient medical histories and document current symptoms, complaints, and any changes in condition.
- Assist in preparing patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Administer prescribed medications and injections as directed by the physician.
- Perform basic medical procedures such as ear irrigation, wound care, and administering tests (e.g., hearing tests, allergy testing).
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist with patient education, providing information about ENT conditions, treatment options, and medications.
- Manage patient flow, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling and preparation for appointments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Monitor patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.) and report abnormalities to the physician.
