Duties

- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Perform basic medical procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, and vital signs assessment.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems like Athenahealth.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence and dignity.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in urgent care settings to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in dementia care settings.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and physiology knowledge relevant to nursing practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- A valid LPN license and current CPR certification
