What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach Coordinator position at Louisiana State Bar Association?
The Outreach Coordinator works in partnership with various company-related local associations to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships which serve the company's members.
The Outreach Coordinator provides assistance to help further programming goals of the department and is responsible for management of the departmental website.
STATEWIDE TRAVEL REQUIRED
DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Director assists with duties that further various aspects of the operation of the department.
Intranet management for the Department:
Intranet site navigation, manage tasks in the intranet software, develop site content related to departmental programming and for events or programming of company-related local associations, communicate with the IT department on technical questions.
Liaison to Company-Related Associations
Establishing and maintaining relationships with company-related local associations to enhance or expand programs and activities which benefit the company's members.
This shall be achieved by:
Making field visits to company-related local associations throughout the state; Developing, planning and executing events or programming that support local associations; Assisting company-related local associations with communication to their membership by providing mailing lists; Maintaining updated contact information for company-related local associations on company database and website; Maintaining a calendar of all outreach activities for the department and on the company website; Coordinating sponsorship requests of company-related local associations; Developing content for articles and announcements related to events or programming of company-related local associations; Serving as primary contact for company-related local associations; Handling other liaison activities as the need arises.
Management of Member Services and Benefits for Company Members
Assist with the research and assessment of potential member benefit products for the company's membership by preparing a detailed summary of the product; Maintain a database of all member benefits and services; Maintain updated service contracts; Website management of member benefits and services so that information is current.
Staff Support Responsibilities: :
Assist with departmental programming related to efforts to achieve equal opportunity in a particular field of study for women, racial and ethnic minorities, members form historically underrepresented geographic areas, members with disabilities, and all other historically underrepresented groups of the company's membership.
Handle other responsibilities as assigned by the Director such as: preparing correspondence, preparing minutes, coordinating bulk mailings, preparing surveys, conducting research to further departmental programming initiatives, assist with duties related to diversity and inclusion related professional programs that further the work of company committees; assist with special projects as directed by the Director.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or other field which would provide a strong foundation for responsibilities of position.
OTHER:
Frequent travel. Travel requires us of employee’s private automobile. Reimbursement is in accordance with the company's reimbursement policy.
