The LSU Health Sciences Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in New Orleans is seeking applicants for a Perinatologist at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (clinical, non-tenure track) to join our growing Maternal Fetal Medicine division.The MFM Division serves as a resource and referral unit for the Greater New Orleans metropolitan area and beyond. The division is based in 5 hospitals in the New Orleans area and also serves as the region's primary academic MFM unit. The division is actively involved in the education of 24 residents and 200 medical students as they rotate through the Obstetrical service. Our primary site, Touro Infirmary Perinatal Center, is AIUM certified.Primary responsibilities for this position include the provision of maternal and fetal care across the Greater New Orleans area through our network of clinical sites, including prenatal diagnosis, consultative and antenatal care services, and ultrasound. A strong commitment to teaching is required in order to provide outstanding instruction to medical students and residents in various clinical venues. Clinical and population based research opportunities are available. Qualified applicants must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana by hire date and be Board Certified in OBGYN.
