Job Description :
Nursing faculty are responsible for conducting assigned format Classroom teaching consistent with curriculum design and content outcomes, academic advising of students, clinical instruction, cooperatively develop course outlines and clinical experiences to implement the curriculum design, evaluate student performance in lecture and clinical courses, review and analysis of program data and outcomes, student learning outcomes, and retention in accordance with the University's policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities :
40%- Didactic and clinical instruction
10%- Develop, implement. and conduct assessments on program and course student learning outcomes
20%- Evaluate student performance in lecture and clinical courses
10%- Academic advising of students
10%- Develop course outlines, clinical experience to implement the curriculum design
5%- Participate in program, divisional and University committees
5%- Select textbooks, audiovisuals and software, laboratory equipment and supplies, and library holdings consistent with curriculum design and program needs
Minimum Qualifications :
Master's in Nursing; will consider BSN if currently enrolled in MSN program with intent to teach after completion.
2 years of nursing practice as a registered nurse in a clinical setting or medical-surgical nursing practice experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
3 years of nursing practice as a registered nurse in a clinical setting or medical-surgical nursing practice experience.
Starting Salary : $55,000.00. Additional Compensation for Overload Teaching.
Licenses :
Current, unencumbered Louisiana Nursing License
Unencumbered class E driver's license
