Accountant

Louisiana Tech University is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the Office of the Comptroller as an Accountant. The position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. The University prefers that the candidate have one to two years' experience in public, private, or governmental accounting or other relevant experience. The candidate must possess strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated technology skills, and have the ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines. Applicant must be able to assimilate and organize complex accounting tasks, including the review and preparation of accounting transaction related entries, preparation of accounting reports, interpretation and analysis of financial data, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts. The candidate must be able to work independently and as a member of a team. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a high level of skill and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to work with complex financial accounting systems. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
