The Honors College at Louisiana Tech University is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as the Assistant Director. The Honors College is comprised of undergraduate programs that promote excellence throughout the University including the University Honors Program, Undergraduate Research, Service Learning, Nationally Competitive Awards, Study Abroad, and the Phi Kappa Phi honor society. The goal of the Honors College is to enhance the Tech experience for the students, faculty, and staff of the University's five academic colleges. This position will support the Director of the Honors College and each program by contributing to the general functions of the Honors College (student recruitment, advising, and outreach) with a primary focus on the areas of undergraduate research and service learning. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Coordinator of Nationally Competitive Awards.
Expected position duties and functions include :
Student Recruitment, Advising, and Outreach
- Meet with prospective students interested in the Honors College.
- Provide advising for students in the University Honors Program related to Honors coursework and completion.
- Attend recruiting events that promote the Honors College.
- Review applications for the University Honors Program.
