The ideal candidate will have earned a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Cyber Engineering, or a closely related field. Demonstration of potential for outstanding teaching ability , written and oral communication skills , as well as a commitment to demanding high - quality st udent work are expected. €¯Can didates should also demonstrate the ability to work collegially as well as independently , have excellent leade rship and organizational skills, and demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning via a willingness to keep abreast of developments in the field . All areas of expertise in the discipline will be considered . A teaching load of 27 semester hours per nine - month academic year is anticipated , spread across three 10 week quarters
