The Louisville Bats, Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, combine rich baseball tradition with a lively game-day experience at Slugger Field. Known for developing top talent and fostering community pride, the Bats are a key part of Louisville’s sports culture. The Louisville Bats are a proud member club of Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH). DBH was formed in 2021 to support, promote, and enhance Minor League Baseball through best practices, professional management, innovation, and investment.
Position Overview:
The Louisville Bats Game Night Associate internship position is responsible for delivering an engaging and dynamic experience for fans at Slugger Field. As a part of the Game Night Internship Program, you will assist with various operations and business functions while positively representing the Bats brand at 2025 Home Games.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent the organization at approximately 65 to 75 Bats home games throughout the season.
- Primary aspects of game night operations include box office ticket sales, event setup, customer service, speed pitch, group catering assistance, distribution of giveaway items and sponsor materials.
- Secondary aspects of game night operations include: grounds crew & fireworks assistance, on-field promotions, and other duties deemed necessary by the organization.
- Individuals will rotate between responsibilities listed above on a nightly basis, working closely with full-time Bats front office personnel and other interns.
- Due to the schedule of mostly night games, this position is ideal for someone also attending school or work an additional job during the season.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree OR working toward degree with an interest in a sports career.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends & holidays.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of staff members, season ticket holders, group members, and other fans while maintaining a positive attitude.
COMPENSATION OPTIONS
- Position may be used to fulfill class credit requirements or for individuals not seeking class credit
- Compensation will be paid in accordance with Kentucky State hourly minimum wage guidelines
- Housing is not provided for this position
