- Prepare meals that meet nutritional specifications, and sometimes assist with cooking special diets
- Meal service:Serve meals to residents and patients in an attractive way
- Kitchen maintenance:Clean the kitchen and dining hall, wash dishes, and take out the trash
- Equipment operation:Operate kitchen equipment and ensure it's properly maintained
- Menu planning:Work with the chef, dietician, and other staff to plan menus
- Nutrition education:Educate residents and patients about nutrition and well-being
- Safety and sanitation:Comply with food safety regulations and ensure food preparation areas are clean and orderly
- Inventory:Stock ingredients and monitor inventory
- Assist residents who need help during meal services
