The Communications & Social Media 2025 Summer Intern supports the growth and development of the communications and marketing team through assisting in writing, organizing, and distributing content through various channels. The individual will help with the creation and distribution of content through digital media platforms and development of marketing campaigns and communication strategies. This internship is for 20 hours a week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support with the creation and execution of social media content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), LinkedIn, TikTok, and other platforms.
- Assist with photo/video content and help to create and edit short-form videos.
- Create social media captions that speak to our audience and ensure messaging is consistent.
- Respond to comments and direct messages on social media platforms.
- Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns.
- Brainstorm and research ideas for original content and develop new strategies for increasing engagement.
- Assist with the creation and distribution of digital email blasts, newsletters, and alerts on social media and traditional news outlets.
- Other duties as assigned.
