Summary Objective

The purpose of this position is to monitor contracts for compliance requirements. Analyzes and monitors vendors’ performance. Reviews and analyzes contracting data.

This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.

Examples of Duties

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.

  • Monitors contract performance, identifies potential risks or issues, and takes action to mitigate risk.
  • Supports contract managers with issue escalation and resolution.
  • Supports contract managers with Contract Administration Plan implementation.
  • Performs daily reviews of pending and expiring contracts.
  • Performs weekly reviews and analysis of vendor performance and follows up with Metro departments and vendors regarding findings.
  • Conducts semi and annual department reviews Analyzes, interprets contract and contract-related data for trends, and operational impacts.
  • Assists in developing and deploying training curriculum, as necessary.
  • Reviews and recommends contract modification requests.
  • Ensures contract files are complete and properly closed out.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with co-workers, other agency employees, government entities, contract providers and the public. Develops, implements, and maintains computer databases.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Economics or related discipline.
  • Two (2) years of procurement and/or contract compliance experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must provide one's own source of transportation.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.

  • Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.

UNAVOIDABLE HAZARDS (WORK ENVIRONMENT)
Unavoidable hazards refer to the job conditions that may lead to injury or health hazards even though precautions have been taken.
