Performs skilled electrical and maintenance work in the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, motors, and components
Supervises Facility Repair Worker I employees
Examples of Work:
UNDER GENERAL SUPERVISION
Supervises the installation and repair of wiring and associated electrical components
Maintains motors and other types of electrical equipment
Operates bucket and pick-up trucks, various kinds of meters and hand tools in order to perform electrical and general maintenance work
Trains Electrician I’s in all aspects of the work
Sets up, tests, operates, assesses, and repairs equipment required for live events, such as in person press conferences and video conferences, such as WebEx
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work
Lifts 50 pounds individually or up to 100 pounds in a team setting
Standing, walking, climbing ladders, and navigating tight spaces
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or the equivalent
Successful completion of a maintenance electrician course at a recognized vocational or trade school
Two years of experience in electrical maintenance work
Other Minimums:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
Equivalency:
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
Special Requirements:
Customer service and organizational skills
Minimum of one year experience working with audiovisual equipment
Skills and Abilities:
Computer skills, troubleshooting, customer service and organizational skills
