Welds and maintains tools and suppliesExamples of Work:
UNDER GENERAL SUPERVISION
Checks and repairs equipment by using welding tools
Welds metal to make or repair various equipment and fixtures
Cuts and makes repairs on heavy equipment
Reads drafting prints for layout work as necessary
Fabricates various metal components
Orders parts and materials
Performs related workPhysical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work
Lifts and carries items weighing up to 70 pounds
Lifts and carries items weighing over 70 pounds in a team setting
Spends prolonged periods of time exposed to the elements
Minimum Requirements:
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program
Welder
Other Minimums:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
Equivalency:
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
