Essential Functions
- Assists in the day-to-day operations of the Adult Inpatient Unit/CTF (Transitions Unit).
- Maintain and promote effective communication between unit and other departments.
- Document clinical services.
- Exhibits teamwork in providing services.
- Demonstrates professional accountability
- Implement measures that safeguard the welfare, care, health, and safety of the unit including patients, families and
coworkers. - Demonstrate basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population, culture, and
specific needs of the patients served.
Qualifications and requirements
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Experience assisting persons who have experienced mental health problems preferred.
- Certification: Must have or apply for a Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor within seven (7) days of employment (RCW 18.19.210 says you may work as an agency affiliated counselor for up to sixty days) or possess current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA), Licensed Advance Social Worker (LASW), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Social Work Associate & Advanced (LSWAA) as defined by the Washington State Department of Health. Must have/obtain current CPR/First Aid within 30 days of hire.
