Responsibilities:
- Assists in preparation of proposal estimates of time and expense required to complete the project
- May participate in presenting the proposal to the client
- Participates in major project design decisions in conjunction with the Project Manager
- May assign duties to Project Team, answer their questions, and monitor their progress
- Provides the technical expertise for projects to which assigned
- May be delegated responsibility to maintain client contact throughout the development of the project
- May serve as Project Manager on certain projects
- Performs other related work as apparent or as assigned and performs all such work in a safe manner, consistent with the firm’s policies and procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/geology/science
- At least 5 years’ experience in engineering designs of projects in his or her area of expertise
- Alternatively any equivalent combination of education at the Masters or Doctoral level and experience
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to learn quickly, multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, hiking, and standing
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Mobility control of hands to setup equipment, handle samples, and operate tools
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains
- Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment
