Job Summary
The HR Administrator plays a vital role in the HR team, working closely with the HR Manager and People Coordinator to ensure the smooth operation of HR functions. This position involves maintaining employee records, assisting with payroll and benefits administration, managing leave requests, supporting compliance initiatives, and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate employee records, including new hire documentation, terminations, and employment status changes.
- Ensure compliance with legal and company requirements for employee files.
- Collaborate with the HR team to streamline processes and support employee needs.
Leave Management:
- Administer and track all employee leave requests, including PTO, sick leave, FMLA, and disability.
- Communicate leave policies to employees and address related inquiries.
- Coordinate with payroll for accurate leave reporting and adjustments.
Benefits Administration:
- Support open enrollment processes and employee benefits inquiries.
- Maintain accurate benefits enrollment and change records.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions about policies, payroll, benefits, and leave.
- Escalate complex issues to the HR Manager as necessary.
Training and Compliance:
- Assist with onboarding new hires and ensure training documentation is complete.
- Track compliance training and certifications to meet deadlines.
SOP Development:
- Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR processes.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure consistency in SOPs across the organization.
- Communicate SOPs effectively to relevant stakeholders.
General Support:
- Manage HR-related correspondence, forms, and communications.
- Assist with special projects, audits, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of HR administrative experience. Familiarity with Paycom or similar HRIS/payroll systems is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
