What are the responsibilities and job description for the Greenhouse Technician position at LOVE HEALTH L.L.C.?
Job description: Performing day to day greenhouse/growth chamber activities including planting, pollinating, tissue sampling, pest/disease scouting, harvesting, threshing, discarding, chamber sanitation, general plant care, data collection, data entry, facility cleanliness and maintaining safety standards
Must want to work within a greenhouse facility- there is no lab work.
- Collecting tissue samples off of soybean plants for DNA analysis
- Perform planting, transplanting, plant crossing, harvest, and discard of Soybean and/or Wheat plants.
- Assisting in operating the soybean threshing machine
- Plant maintenance including trimming, training, and node cleaning
- Cross pollinating, plant discard
- Need to be comfortable working with soybean, wheat, pollen and dust
- Cleaning of the facility and other basic duties as assigned
Weekend work on rotation.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $21.00 per hour
