Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide support in developing life skills and fostering independence through engaging activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents by monitoring their physical and emotional health.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents’ needs and document vital signs as required.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy and dignity at all times.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's unique needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other staff to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in ongoing training related to first aid, HIPAA compliance, and best practices in direct support.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in long-term care settings is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for resident assistance.
- Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy principles is essential.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and the ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of resident information.
- Experience in home community care or senior care settings is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
