What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Program Director position at LoveLee Care Daycare?
The lead teacher must develop an overall curriculum for her classroom, that includes daily lessons and activities. She creates bulletin boards, classroom centers and hands-on activities that reinforce the lessons she's teaching. The Lead Teacher must communicate with parents and relay information based on each child’s capabilities and works to meet their cognitive, emotional, physical and social needs. The lead teacher works closely with aides and volunteers assigned to her and answers to the daycare’s administrator. Each lead teacher maintains records of the progress made by her class and reports this information periodically to parents. While working with children, the lead teacher maintains confidentiality. She must report any suspected child abuse to her supervisor, and must keep adequate records of any accidents incurred by a child under care. Lead Caregiver is responsible for keeping their lead teacher credentials current, and for attending any professional development activities required by her supervisor. Most importantly, the Lead Caregiver must have fun!!
