Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Loves Travel Stops and Country Stores. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues in our diesel engines, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, and engine components.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel engine problems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Assist customers with roadside services including jump-starts, fuel delivery, and lockout service
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in diesel mechanics
- Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and other relevant components
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in close quarters
- Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation
