Children: BOY; 2 YEARS OLD AND BOY; 11 MONTHS OLD
Compensation: $25 PER HOUR
Schedule: MONDAY; 9 AM - 6 PM AND TUESDAY; 7 AM - 3 PM; The family will likely want to add Fridays in Sept. For the short term, it will be just Monday and Tuesday.
ABOUT THE FAMILY: This active, Faribault family resides out in the country on a large property. They love the outdoors, hiking, cooking/baking, swimming in the summer, and spending time together. Health and nutrition are important to this family; they prioritize cooking balanced, wholesome meals. Indoors, they enjoy reading, coloring, painting, and creative play. The family also has a very large Great Dane, who is well-behaved and adores the kids and people. Covid vaccination is NOT required by the family.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively engage with the children
- Foster a love of learning
- Support their educational growth through reading, play, and age-appropriate activities
- Support their development - both academically and emotionally
- Get the children outdoors to play and explore whenever possible
- Light housekeeping
- Help with the organization of the home
- Meal preparation when time allows
- Support the family and grow with them
- If the role transitions to full-time, duties may include driving the children to school and activities
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience working with children
- Background in early childhood education/child development is a plus
- Be committed to a long-term position
- Be reliable, responsible, and punctual
- Take the role of the position seriously
- Flexibility
- Work with the family as a team and adapt to their needs
- Energetic/Athletic person who can keep up with the kids
- Engaging in physical play, both indoors and out
- Genuine, happy, nurturing, and passionate about childcare
- Be able to create a positive and loving environment for the children
