POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for aligning the HR strategy with company goals, enhance and reinforce company culture and values, be a leader in recruitment strategy and development of the workforce, manage compensation and employee benefits, excel in compliance and risk management, ensure a diversified and inclusive environment, specialize in tracking key metrics such as turnover, engagement, exhibit strong leadership skills while fostering a commitment to mentoring and growth for each employee.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Lead Human Resources TEAM
- Direct the accurate and timely processing of payroll
- Manage Employee Benefits Programs leading the annual renewal process
- Ensure Monthly Benefits Invoices are reconciled
- Successful Recruitment Program: Culture that draws Top Talent
- File and Manage Workman’s’ Compensation claims
- Process Monthly Workman’s Compensation Reports and Payments with Carrier
- Monitor Workman’s Compensation Ratings collaborating with the Safety Director to minimize potential workplace accidents
- Perform annual Workman’s Compensation Audit with Carrier
- Ensure Company Policies for Drug Screens are followed for Pre-Employment, Random, Post Accident and Suspicion
- Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion
- Administer 401K Program. Manage Loans, Withdrawal, Payroll Contributions and Company Match. Ensure enrollment eligibility process is followed
- Oversight for Employee Onboarding and Offboarding Processes
- Visibility with the TEAMs. Regular visits to the SC Farm, attend Install Operations monthly breakfasts
- Track employees issued equipment and uniforms.
- Audit Human Resources Invoices to ensure accuracy; uniforms, payroll systems, benefits
- Manage Unemployment Claims Process to completion / resolution
- Ensure Employee Handbooks are Updated Annually and are available to all employees
- Ensure Safety Manual is available to all employees
- Administer Annual Performance Review process
- Ensure integrity of every employee file. Conduct periodic audits
- Oversight of MVR program and Driver Files
- Continuing education in compliance related areas such as E-Verify, Labor Laws, Employee Counseling, Diversity
- Educated and informed on Workforce Trends
- Develop and maintain key Retention Strategies

Requirements
EDUCATION/ WORK EXPERIENCE
The Human Resources Director should have a college degree or equivalent experience along with the following certifications; SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI), as both signify advanced expertise in strategic HR management.
CAPABILITIES/SKILLS
- Extensive experience working with Paylocity or other Payroll Systems
- Excellent computer skills, including but not limited to; Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and Outlook), ERP systems, QuickBooks Enterprise
- Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic work environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills related to people
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate
- Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skills
- High level of Integrity
