We are looking for an experienced Mechanic to join our TEAM and help keep our fleet of trucks, trailers, and landscaping machinery running smoothly.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented mechanic to maintain and repair our diverse fleet of landscaping equipment, including trucks, trailers, compact track loaders, mowers, and lawn maintenance equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with diesel and gasoline engines, a strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems, and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and landscaping equipment, including trucks, trailers, skid steers, mowers, and other machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure the fleet operates smoothly and minimizes downtime.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections through our online Fleetmatics platform.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Order parts and materials as needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Collaborate with the operations team to prioritize equipment needs and ensure timely repair.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience with heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and landscaping equipment,.
- Strong knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
- Welding and basic fabrication skills for trailer/equipment repairs.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools and perform physical labor when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASE certification or equivalent mechanic’s certification.
- Previous experience in a landscaping or construction-related field.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in equipment maintenance.
