Store Development Project Manager
POSITION DESCRIPTION AND KEY MEASUREABLES:
Department: Retail Operations
Location: Remote, Los Angeles
Report to: VP of Operations
Number of direct reports: 0-1
POSITION PURPOSE AND EXPECTATION:
Role Overview: Manage retail store development projects from concept to completion, including new store openings, renovations, and relocations across mall locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead store construction projects, managing timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships
- Work with local governments in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico to properly and efficiently open new locations on an agreed upon timeline.
- Coordinate with landlords, architects, contractors, and internal teams
- Oversee permit acquisition, construction documentation, and compliance
- Manage project budgets ranging from $250K to $1M per location
- Develop and track project schedules using project management software
- Ensure brand standards and design guidelines are maintained
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
- 5 years retail construction project management experience
- Strong knowledge of retail construction, building codes, and ADA requirements
- Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and construction management software
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 40%
