Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to manage tax compliance, planning, and reporting for our multi-state retail operations. This role ensures accurate tax filings while optimizing tax positions within legal parameters.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for multiple retail entities
- Manage monthly and quarterly tax provisions, including calculations and reconciliations

- Coordinate with external auditors during tax examinations
- Maintain tax-related documentation and support schedules
- Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize company tax position

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of corporate tax experience, retail industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax regulations
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with ERP systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in taxation or accounting
- CPA certification preferred not required
