Responsibilities—Automotive Service Manager :

Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Service Department to ensure maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction

Supervise, train, and mentor a team of service technicians and advisors to ensure high-quality work and exceptional customer service

Ensure that all service work is completed according to dealership and factory standards

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer satisfaction (CSI), technician productivity, and department profitability

Manage service department schedules, ensuring optimal staffing and timely completion of work orders

Handle customer concerns and complaints in a professional and efficient manner

Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure parts availability and inventory management

Review and approve service orders and estimates, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation

Maintain compliance with dealership policies, factory requirements, and safety standards

Stay up to date with automotive industry trends and technologies to provide relevant solutions

Drive and support factory and dealership-sponsored training programs for service team development

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Service Department, ensuring a safe and productive work environment

Qualifications—Automotive Service Manager :

Proven experience as an Automotive Service Manager or in a similar leadership role

Strong understanding of service department operations, including workflow, customer service, and profitability

Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and lead a team

Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index)

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards

Proficiency in CDK software and understanding of automotive service operations

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional automotive certifications or management training is a plus

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Must pass pre-employment testing, including background checks and drug screening

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident
