Responsibilities—Automotive Service Manager :

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Service Department to ensure maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of service technicians and advisors to ensure high-quality work and exceptional customer service
  • Ensure that all service work is completed according to dealership and factory standards
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer satisfaction (CSI), technician productivity, and department profitability
  • Manage service department schedules, ensuring optimal staffing and timely completion of work orders
  • Handle customer concerns and complaints in a professional and efficient manner
  • Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure parts availability and inventory management
  • Review and approve service orders and estimates, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
  • Maintain compliance with dealership policies, factory requirements, and safety standards
  • Stay up to date with automotive industry trends and technologies to provide relevant solutions
  • Drive and support factory and dealership-sponsored training programs for service team development
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Service Department, ensuring a safe and productive work environment
  • Qualifications—Automotive Service Manager :

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Service Manager or in a similar leadership role
  • Strong understanding of service department operations, including workflow, customer service, and profitability
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and lead a team
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
  • Proficiency in CDK software and understanding of automotive service operations
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional automotive certifications or management training is a plus

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must pass pre-employment testing, including background checks and drug screening
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident
