What You Will Do
The Fulfillment Center Location Manager is primarily responsible for the operations in a 600 square foot e-commerce fulfillment facility. This role is responsible for the excellence of all functions in the facility, including: (1) the daily, weekly and annual operational planning and execution to meet customer service requirements; (2) recruiting, training, and managing of a diverse employee population; (3) developing and nurturing a positive, focused, safe and productive work environment; (4) managing relationships with the local community, suppliers to the facility, and individuals in corporate support functions; (5) ensuring all corporate policies and procedures are adhered to and that short- and long-term plans are implemented successfully; and (6) practicing effective stewardship of company resources.
To accomplish this, the FC Location Manager must have a strong understanding of e-commerce, distribution, and business operations and must also be able to communicate effectively cross-functionally and at all levels of leadership.
The FC Location Manager works closely corporate support teams including Transportation (Inbound and Outbound), Inventory Planning and Fulfillment, Finance, and IT. This person also works closely with the location managers for the other FC locations to ensure operational consistency and best practices are shared across locations.
The FC Location Manager is responsible for a 1 shift operation that runs five days a week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibility Statements
- Assign resources, define goals and develop procedures to improve FC operations, improve cycle time and reduce cost
- Partner with corporate support staff to ensure effective utilization FC resources
- Coordinate all activities to staff, organize, and direct fulfillment activities to effectively manage the receipt, storage, picking, packing, loading and shipment of orders to e-commerce customers.
- Must work in a distribution/warehouse environment with the physical and environmental aspects typically associated with such environment.
- Minimally must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Maintain overall high level of organization and cleanliness within the facility
- Analyze current procedures and initiate new ideas to improve productivity and efficiency
- Ensure safe, efficient and economical operation of the fulfillment center and equipment
- Ensure high levels of customer service are met while keeping costs at a minimum
- Control costs through productivity of FC employees, efficient utilization of storage space, efficient fulfillment processes, and proper protection of stored materials
- Identify cause(s) of product loss and take corrective action
What you Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Transportation, Supply Chain, or related field experience equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience working in a distribution operations in a large volume, automated distribution center environment
- 4 years’ leadership experience with direct report responsibility
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Access
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Transportation, Supply Chain
- 1 year experience in recruiting, developing, and retaining an effective team.
- 1 year experience in creating and managing a budget.
- 1 year experience in resolving and identifying process improvements.
