Responsibilities:
- Determine safety precautions and requirements for tasks.
- Prepare worksites; perform lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Gather tools and spare parts for tasks.
- Use tools safely; check condition of tools prior to use; use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform tasks as directed by more experienced mechanics, with work instructions and/or mentor oversight (if applicable).
Requirements:
- 1-2 years experience in maintenance or related area.
- Experience working with specialized tools (e.g., welders, torches, cranes/lifting devices, pipe benders, threaders, horizontal saws, voltmeters, hydrometers, etc.).
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings.
- Ability to operate various maintenance and operations vehicles and equipment.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Valid state driver's license.
