At LCRA, we are looking for a System Protection Engineer to join our team! As a part of LCRA's Transmission Protection team, your primary task will be to develop protective relay settings and perform system coordination studies for LCRA TSC capital projects. You will also be asked to be a mentor and leader to teammates. A top candidate with 1-16 years of system protection experience is preferred. You will be trusted to :
- Develop transmission system protective relay settings
- Perform protective relay coordination studies
- Conduct disturbance analysis of electric system fault events
- Relay misoperation analysis, reporting, and corrective action plans
- Assist with NERC compliance on PRC standards
- Work on capital project development as part of the LCRA TSC capital planning process
