Lower Paxton Township possesses a vacancy in the position of:
Inspector in the Sewer Department.
This is a full-time AFSCME Bargaining Unit position.
The Inspector is an upper-level position in the Sewer Department who is directly responsible to the Operations Manager. The position performs essential job functions for the Sewer Department. Minimum requirements include a demonstrated proficiency or knowledge, in part through testing, of construction and maintenance procedures, materials, and techniques that relate to sanitary sewer facilities and systems, including some basic engineering knowledge, and knowledge of applicable rules and regulations governing sanitary sewer facilities. The rate of pay for the Inspector shall be in accordance with the Sewer Department collective bargaining unit agreement for existing personnel. The hours of work for this position will be between 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 5 days a week or if assigned to four (4) ten (10) hour day shifts 6:30 a.m. to 4:30p.m.
