What are the responsibilities and job description for the LS Pre-K Teachers' Aide position at Lower School?
Fort Bend Christian Academy is accepting applications for a Pre-K Teachers’ Aide. This position is a non-exempt, full-time position with a 10-month work schedule. The Pre-K Teachers’ Aide works with teachers to assist with student supervision, bulletin board, copying, laminating, and other duties. The Teachers’ Aide shall prayerfully reflect the purpose of the school as he/she helps the teachers. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 - 3 years experience.
Reports to: Head of Lower School
Job Duties: The Pre-K Teachers’ Aide shall –
- Seek to role model in attitude, speech, and actions a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ.
- Handle confidential student information with integrity.
- Assist with loading and unloading students upon arrival and dismissal.
- Assist with lunch and/or recess duty.
- As needed, assist teachers by walking students to enrichment classes, nurse, etc.
- As needed, assist teachers by snack preparation, assisting with classroom projects, making copies, laminating, putting up bulletin boards, etc.
- Help with special events such as programs, Rodeo Day, Field Day, etc.
- Accompany classes on field trips as needed.
- Available to cover other Pre-K classrooms in the absence of a teacher.
- Perform other tasks consistent with this position as directed by Lower School Administration or Pre-K teachers.
