Job Summary:
The primary purpose of the District Quality Coordinator (DQC) role is to assess performance of store Merchandising service, reset execution and customer experience projects to identify issues and opportunities and develop recommendations to ensure successful execution. The DQC will also be responsible for understanding the individual service needs for the stores and ensuring the execution of those identified needs.
The District Quality Coordinator (DQC) is primarily responsible for conducting Merchandising Service Team (MST) Quality Reviews in the District. This includes conducting reviews in a minimum number of stores each week to validate execution of both merchandising projects and service. The District Quality Coordinator (DQC) also has the responsibility to understand merchandising standards (e.g., stock, displays, promotion space).
This position is assigned to a home store and travels daily between stores throughout the district to review execution of Merchandising service projects, resets and service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conducting Quality Reviews in stores to validate reset and service execution in stores.
• Providing corrective guidance and direction to individual teams when projects and/or service is not executed correctly.
• Communicating project logistical issues and developing and recommending action plans to the District Merchandising Service Manager (DMSM) to improve efficiency across the district.
• Leveraging knowledge and understanding of the overall Merchandising service strategy, and communicating opportunities and developing recommendations for improvement to the DMSM to be shared across the district, region, and enterprise as appropriate.
• Utilizing available tools and metrics (e.g., sales indexing, project home page, Smart Project) to understand in-store capacity and service needs.
• Overseeing test sets in order to identify and share execution opportunities and efficiency best practices with the district, region, and enterprise.
• Ensuring stores have a staging process for reset product and product support materials and ensuring process is followed appropriately by the Receiving department in order to facilitate the Merchandising Service teams’ work, recommending solutions as necessary.
• Identifying and solving merchandising and/or Planogram issues in assigned stores, leveraging knowledge and understanding of the overall Merchandising service strategy, and communicating opportunities for improvement to the DMSM to be shared across the district, region, and enterprise as appropriate.
• Ensuring execution accountability is aligned with corporate direction and store and district needs by observing and validating proper execution of service programs and projects.
• Collaborates with Merchandising Service Manager(MSM) and when necessary, DMSM, to develop action plans to address execution opportunities.
• Follows up on action plans to ensure improvement in identified execution opportunities.
• Recommends accountability for execution opportunities to DMSM as necessary.
• Collaborating with the store management team, MSM and DMSM to ensure Merchandising service resources are kept on their assigned tasks within each store.
• Ensuring consistent safe execution of projects across all assigned stores by leveraging previous experience and knowledge of the Merchandising service strategy and current safety policies and procedures.
• Communicating safety concerns and/or questions with MSAs, MSMs, Loss Prevention, and/or store leadership, including recommending improvement opportunities to stakeholders as necessary.
• Collaborates with MSM and DMSM, as necessary, to develop store specific action plans to improve safety culture.
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced retail environment
• 1 year Lowe's store experience
• 1 year supervisory experience including coaching/training team members
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)
• Licensed driver with reliable transportation and ability to pass MVR screen
• Ability to travel between stores within district
• Available to work overnight and weekends as required
